In the last edition of my joint OMactiv project, I have already written about the way to wear svitshots and sweatshirts combined with skirts of different styles. Probably, many of you didn’t risk to try this outfit on yourselves, after you have seen it just on a young model. This is why I decided to pick a more classical combination, as the jumper with a skirt, and show you on a clear example how fresh and trendy this combination can be.

This is a perfect combination, which fits every event with a casual dress code – office, daytime and nighttime meetings, concerts an even dates. In my case, this is the outfit for the meeting with the stylist Doina Țapordei. We met in our favorite cafe Gastrobar and talked about fashion from creative, marketing and business points of view. We will discuss this interesting topic in the next edition, but for now, we will talk about the correct way to combine svitshots and jumpers with skirts.

During the process of creation of this look based on a monochromatic male cut jumper and a voluminous flower print skirt, I remembered how some time ago the bag and shoes must have been of the same color obligatory.  Today, it isn’t a must already. However, I decided that I want to repeat this old classic technique.

After a couple of seasons, yellow is still in trend. This is also my favorite color for accessories. I chose a classical cross body bag of a bright yellow color, and a pair of shoes from the latest collection of Miuccia Prada, in the style of the 60’s.

There are different visions about this trend, about the correct way to combine these elements. I will ease your research, by sharing with you the three main factors of the created outfit. First, try to tuck in an interesting way the sides of the svitshot or jumper into the skirt or pants if they are longer than the waistline, in order to avoid the creation of incorrect proportions. The second rule is that something must be monochromatic, either the skirt or the sweater. The harmony of colors is very important for your outfit. The third and the most important rule (a general fashion rule) is – remember which are the advantages and disadvantages of your body shape. It is an important factor in the selection of the skirt model in combination with the shoes.
