I don’t know his it works for You, but for me the first impression about a person is very important. I met Cremona’s Mayor while making a documentary about one of the most famous contemporary violinists, Dmitri Kogan. When he saw the Guarneri del Gesù’s violin, brought to Italy from Russia especially for this occasion, he has got down on his knees and kissed it…
When I had the opportunity to meet him once again, I decided to introduce him to Olga, and of course to You, the readers of the blog and #pizzabottonimattoni column. Gianluca Galimberti is the former physics professor at one of the Cremona’s lyceums, President of the Catholic Movement “Associazione Cattolica”, father of 3 children. Nowadays he is the Mayor of the Capital of Music and the homeland of Violins – Cremona, he isn’t related to any polithical party, he is just working hard to make his Cremona better.
Mr. Galimberti sincerely believes that in order to solve the problems, You have to go ahead organizing and realizing new projects. In our previous article we spoke about the Acquedotte Musical Festival, that will begin in a few days.
In the meantime we just want to invite You to have a walk along the narrow antique streets, breath this special air, hang out your ear at the entrance to the “bottega” and hear the birth of a new violin, dream, drink a #caffeconvista admiring the Duomo and Torrazzo, give a smile to a person You do not know and just say hello to a smiling curly haired man who is running out of the Town Hall.
